Public transport with your dog: the basics 👇🏻 • Reliable functional obedience - loose leash/heel walking, settle training, Down; preferably a word to toilet on command too 💩 • Neutrality to people (and their picnics!) 🥪 • Maybe bring some sort of long-lasting chew for the journey, although not a stinky one to spare your fellow passengers 🤢 • Environmental stability & neutrality 😊 • If your dog’s temperament or level of training does not allow them to be in such a public place, do not take them. You are setting yourself up to fail ❌
Blanco the GSD saw us over a period of 15 one-to-o Blanco the GSD saw us over a period of 15 one-to-one sessions for puppy training. This means she did not experience any of the problems that puppy owners typically complain about and is on her way to becoming a civilised member of society 😃
Throwback to a very sunny & muddy walk with Hannya Throwback to a very sunny & muddy walk with Hannya & Nina 👅 We found this walk accidentally where we used to live - it was basically an abandoned quarry, so lots of muddy hills for the dogs to charge up & down. Great fun for them, lots of washing for us!

Spaniels have an innate desire to sniff, dive into Spaniels have an innate desire to sniff, dive into hedges & follow trails They can also be energetic, which leads to a nationwide problem of pulling on the lead! But there are lots of breeds with genetic traits incompatible to walking on the leash. All breeds can learn functional obedience and that’s our point today.
